About Crazy Machines 3

Crazy Machines 3 is a physics puzzle game developed by Fakt Software and published by Daedalic Entertainment, released on 18 October 2016. It is the latest chapter of the long-running series about building gloriously complicated contraptions. Each puzzle shows a goal, such as lighting a candle, popping a balloon or dropping a ball into a basket, and gives you a handful of parts to reach it. Your job is to place them so that one action triggers the next in a satisfying chain reaction worthy of a mad inventor.

The physics engine is the real star. Balls roll, dominoes topple, ropes swing, gears turn and steam engines push pistons, all following believable rules of weight, momentum and friction. With more than 220 objects available, including lasers, magnets, rockets and electrical parts, there is rarely only one correct solution. Experimenting is half the fun: you press start, watch your contraption run, laugh when something unexpected happens, then adjust a ramp or a pulley and try again until everything clicks perfectly into place.

The campaign leads you through a long series of puzzles set in the workshop of an eccentric professor, gradually introducing new mechanics and harder challenges. Beyond the set levels, Crazy Machines 3 includes a comprehensive level editor and a construction set of more than 300 parts that can be combined into your own gadgets. You can design custom machines from scratch, test them in the sandbox and keep improving them as new ideas come to mind, turning the game into a creative toolbox for budding engineers.

Creations can be shared with other players through Workshop support, so there is always a fresh supply of community puzzles to download and solve. Cloud saves keep your progress safe across computers, and achievements reward clever and unusual solutions. The calm pace and lack of time pressure make it a relaxing brain teaser for all ages, and the game is rated USK 0, so families can enjoy building and experimenting together on the same screen.
