About Enter the Gungeon
Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon crawler developed by Dodge Roll and published by Devolver Digital, first released in April 2016. It follows a band of misfits who hope to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution. Their goal lies at the very bottom of the legendary Gungeon: an ultimate treasure known as the gun that can kill the past. Each hero carries a deep regret and is ready to risk everything for a chance to undo it, no matter how dangerous the descent becomes.
The Gungeon itself is a constantly evolving fortress that blends meticulously hand-designed rooms into a procedurally generated labyrinth, so every attempt brings a different layout. It also reacts to your progress: even modest victories against its sentries and traps raise the stakes and the challenges waiting further down. Floors are filled with the dangerously adorable Gundead and fearsome bosses armed to the teeth. To survive, you dive across flaming walls, roll through walls of bullets and flip tables to take cover behind whatever happens to be nearby.
Waiting for you below is the Cult of the Gundead, disciples of the gun who will use any tactic to stop intruders and defend their temple. Along the way you discover and unlock scores of uniquely fantastic guns, from the practical to the utterly absurd, and gather precious loot and hidden secrets. Opportunistic merchants and shopkeepers sell powerful items that can give you an edge in the next fight. Choosing between several unlikely heroes, each with their own starting gear and story, adds variety to every new run through the dungeon.
