About Halfway
Halfway is a turn-based strategy RPG developed by Robotality and published by Chucklefish. It takes place a few hundred years into the future, when humanity has begun to colonise new worlds and, until now, believed it was alone. You take control of a small team of survivors faced with a violent invasion on board the colonial vessel Goliath. As their leader, you guide them through the dark and cramped corridors of the ship to slowly take back control, one deck at a time.
Tactical turn-based battles are at the core of Halfway. Cover, position, equipment and skills can all be used to your advantage, so every encounter is about reading the room and planning each step. If you have any hope of surviving, you will have to fight, face your fears and outsmart the enemy. Careful use of corners and obstacles can turn a desperate situation around, while a reckless advance can quickly cost you a valuable member of the team.
Your team is formed of unique characters you pick up along the way, and each one brings their own story, skills and experiences to the journey. Step by step you uncover the mysterious events that took place on the Goliath and what they mean for you and for all of humanity. The campaign offers around 10 to 14 hours of gameplay in a beautiful pixel art environment, accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack by Gavin Harrison.
Halfway runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. On Windows it needs Windows 7 or higher, a 2.0 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, Intel HD 3000 graphics or better with OpenGL 2.1 support and 300 MB of storage. Text is in English.
