Knights of the Crusades combines real-time strategy, city building and sandbox gameplay in the era of the Crusades. You begin as a founding member of the Templars or your own Holy Order and travel from Western Europe to the Holy Land to take part in the First Crusade. Capture and develop hamlets with dozens of structures, manage an economy with survival elements and generate silver and piety to expand your influence and sustain your armies. Fight AI armies on land and at sea, defend your hamlets and besiege great cities in scripted scenarios such as the Reconquista or the defence of Edessa, then continue in open-ended play across the Holy Land, Spain, North Africa and Eastern Europe.
