About ASPIS

ASPIS is a first-person action adventure developed and published by Dream Wire Games. It was released on 23 October 2026 for Windows. The year is 1987 in the USSR, and six volunteers are hooked up to ASPIS, an experimental system designed to predict historical events. One year later, none of them has woken up. Among them is Andrey, an engineer who agreed to the experiment for a single chance to see his deceased wife Anna and daughter Liza once more.

The simulation goes far beyond what its creators planned, opening paths to places they never intended to reach. Andrey’s journey begins at the Institute of Cybernetics and gradually leads away from familiar reality, toward distorted versions of recognisable places, ancient structures and worlds that existed long before ASPIS was launched. You explore the environment, find documents and records, interface with OGAS terminals and piece together the events of the experiment as the story unfolds through the world, encounters and cinematic scenes.

Exploration eventually gives way to chases and confrontations. The Guardian cannot simply be shot and killed; it pursues Andrey through corridors and rooms, forcing him to keep moving and find a way out under constant pressure. Other opponents can be fought with a Makarov pistol and melee attacks, while ammunition and other resources must be found along the way. The PEP-01 device lets you capture and transfer Energy X, power machinery and change the state of specific mechanisms.

With the PEP-01, Andrey also opens astral windows between layers of reality, so objects unreachable in one state of the world can be seen and extracted from another to solve spatial puzzles. Along the way he meets other volunteers, the Institute Director, a talking Cat who knows the ancient pathways and even the Devil, yet nobody gives him the whole picture. In the finale a single choice decides Andrey’s fate and leads to one of two endings. ASPIS is rated USK 16.
