About Anno 1503 A.D.
Anno 1503 A.D. is a classic strategy and city building game from Max Design, first released in 2003, which invites you to lay claim to the New World in an epic saga of adventure and discovery. It blends the excitement of real-time strategy with the depth of empire building. This edition includes the original Anno 1503: The New World together with its expansion Treasures, Monsters & Pirates.
Your aim is to establish colonies and seek out wealth and power. Settle in five climate zones as diverse as frozen tundra, bleak deserts and lush jungles, each with its own natural resources, vegetation, wildlife and terrain. Watch your towns grow from a few huts into thriving cities with more than 250 authentic building types, including tobacco plantations, watchtowers and cannon foundries.
A powerful economy keeps your people supplied with weaponry, raw materials, clothes and food as well as exotic goods such as silk and spices, and what you can produce depends on where you settle. You meet nine different cultures from the 16th century, such as the Africans, Aztecs and Native Americans, each with its own traits. Trade through an easy menu and form peace treaties, or defend your colonies in land and sea battles with a combat system that lets you vary your tactics by opponent, terrain and weaponry.
Anno 1503 A.D. runs on Windows 10 and is available in English, German and French. Choose between Single Scenario, Campaign and Open-Ended modes and compete against computer-controlled rivals. It is a great choice for fans of relaxed yet deep city builders, players who love trade and logistics, and anyone curious about a classic of the Anno series. Set sail and build your empire.
