About Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway is a squad-based World War II shooter developed by Gearbox Software and published by Ubisoft. It continues a critically acclaimed series known for its compelling story, unrivaled authenticity and intense squad-based action. This time the game drops you into Operation Market Garden, the largest paratrooper operation of the Second World War. You join Matt Baker, Joe Hartsock and the rest of the 101st Airborne Division as they fight to open the infamous Hell's Highway in a daring bid for a quick end to the war.
The game lets you live the life of an enlisted man. You get orders from HQ, go on patrol, spot the enemy and set up a devastating ambush, and finding the enemy before they find you is part of the challenge. Lifelike characters look, talk, move and think with impressive realism. They interact with you and with each other like true brothers in arms, trading ammunition, helping wounded allies and civilians and working together to man team-operated weapons. As the squad leader you get to know your men, and each of them has a distinct personality, a unique story and background, and grows throughout the game.
Powerful units answer to your command. Machine gun crews create intense suppressing fire, bazooka crews destroy buildings and tanks, and mortar crews pound the enemy from a distance. You decide how to use them: execute a tactically elegant flanking maneuver or charge in with guns blazing. Cover matters too, because it is modeled using real physical properties and behaviors. Weapons damage, dent, scorch and destroy the world around you, so you have to keep your men moving and choose where to take shelter wisely as the fight changes.
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway runs on Windows 7, 8 and 10. It needs a 2.6 GHz dual-core processor (3 GHz for Intel Pentium D 925), 1 GB of RAM with 2 GB recommended, a 128 MB DirectX 9.0c compliant graphics card with Shader 3.0, a DirectX compliant sound card and 8 GB of free disk space. Audio and text are available in English, French, Italian and Spanish. It is a strong choice for fans of authentic World War II shooters who enjoy leading a squad as much as pulling the trigger.
