About Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today
Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is a point and click adventure developed by Fictiorama Studios and published by Daedalic Entertainment in April 2015. It is the first part of the Dead Synchronicity series and tells a dark, sad and brutal tale. You wake in darkness as Michael, a man with no past, and slowly realise that the world outside has collapsed. Words like the Great Wave and the dissolved mean nothing to him at first, yet they hold the key to everything that follows.
The Great Wave was an inexplicable chain of natural disasters that destroyed all energy sources and communications. It plunged the world into chaos that is ruthlessly controlled by both the authorities and the army. On top of that, a terrible pandemic is turning humanity into the dissolved, the sick whose deliria grant them supernatural cognitive powers while steering them towards a gruesome death. Michael must recover his identity and decode the events that brought the world to the edge of collapse.
The gameplay pays homage to classic adventures such as The Secret of Monkey Island, Broken Sword and Day of the Tentacle, while revolving around a more mature theme. You explore scenes, talk to survivors, collect items and solve puzzles to push the story forward. Space and time distortions, a dystopian atmosphere and a bloodstained plot set the tone. A distinctive expressionist 2D art style and an atmospheric soundtrack give every location a haunting, memorable mood.
This is a single player adventure with 24 achievements, trading cards and cloud saves. It runs on Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 SP1 and supports English and German with full audio, plus French, Italian, Spanish, Russian and Polish. The minimum setup needs a 2 GHz dual core CPU, 2 GB of RAM, a GeForce 8600 GS or Radeon HD 3470 with DirectX 9.0c and 4.5 GB of storage, so even older PCs can handle it with low settings. The game deals with violence, death and disturbing themes, so it suits players aged 16 and over who are looking for a serious, thought provoking story.
