About Massive Assault
Massive Assault is a turn-based sci-fi strategy game developed and published by Wargaming.net and released on 28 October 2003. Take command of the Free Nations Union forces and defeat the Phantom League on one of six distant planets. The rebels have decided to seize power on Earth by first conquering the space colonies, which provide vital energy resources.
The war for global domination unrolls on continents, at sea and in the air. An original political system based on Secret Allies lets you disclose hidden allies and raise their troops at any moment, surprisingly shifting the balance of power in a region. Lead your divisions, fleets and air squadrons against those who dared to threaten freedom and democracy.
A full 3D engine renders huge landscapes with realistic lighting, explosions and effects, and 3D sound adds to the atmosphere. Twenty-six detailed 3D units cover land, sea and air warfare across six different worlds. Smooth and dynamic turns keep the focus on planning, while the Secret Allies system provides endless replayability.
It is a single-player turn-based strategy game set in a science fiction future. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 and supports English text and French audio and text. The minimum configuration requires a 1.4 GHz processor, 256 MB of RAM, a 32 MB DirectX 8.1 compatible graphics card and 650 MB of free disk space. The game is rated USK 12 and suits players who enjoy classic wargames, careful planning and battles that span whole planets.
