About Reiner Knizia Yellow & Yangtze
Reiner Knizia Yellow & Yangtze is the digital adaptation of the strategy board game from the designer of Tigris & Euphrates, developed and published by Dire Wolf. Steam release: 12 December 2019.
Set in the Warring States period of ancient China, each turn you place hex tiles for governors, soldiers, farmers, traders and artisans to grow your influence. When kingdoms touch, revolts and wars break out and are resolved by committing matching tiles. Building pagodas earns prestige, and your final score is your weakest colour, so balance matters more than racing ahead. Play against AI rivals or online opponents.
Key Features
- Five tile types – governors, soldiers, farmers, traders, artisans.
- Revolts and wars – conflicts decided by committed tiles.
- Pagodas – build monuments for extra prestige.
- Balanced scoring – your weakest colour counts.
- AI and online play – solo or against other players.
PC Version and Compatibility
Minimum requirements: 64-bit Windows 7/8.1/10, Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2 GB RAM, DirectX 11 or OpenGL 3.x graphics, 1 GB storage, broadband connection. Languages: English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. Polish is not supported.
Global Activation & What You Receive
You receive a digital Steam key for the standard game. It is a Global key with no regional restriction, so it works on a Steam account in any country. In the Steam client choose Games → Activate a Product on Steam, enter the code and the game is added to your library permanently.
Why Buy This Game?
Yellow & Yangtze suits board game fans who enjoy tense, abstract area-control decisions. The key is available at Urazon. Age rating: USK 12.
Related Games
If you like how Yellow & Yangtze turns a physical board game into clean digital turns, Scythe: Digital Edition does the same for an alternate-history 1920s Europe of mechs, farms and factions jostling for territory. Root offers a very different kind of area control, with asymmetric woodland factions that each play by their own rules. For a lighter session built on the same careful resource balancing, Splendor has you collect gems and nobles in quick, elegant rounds. And Sid Meier's Civilization V widens the scale to a full civilisation, letting you grow an empire from one city across the ages.
