About Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster
Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster is a first-person shooter remastered by Nightdive Studios from the 1995 LucasArts original, published by Nightdive Studios and Atari. Steam release date: 28 February 2024.
Dark Forces was the first Star Wars FPS, and it pushed the genre forward with jumping, ducking, crawling and real puzzles in its levels. You play Kyle Katarn, a former Imperial officer turned mercenary, who works for the Rebel Alliance and uncovers the Dark Trooper Project – a new line of battle droids and armoured stormtroopers that could tip the war. Nightdive's KEX engine version keeps all 14 original missions and ten weapons, while adding high-resolution textures, improved lighting, gamepad support with a weapon wheel and up to 4K at 120 frames per second.
