About Steel Division 2
Steel Division 2 is a WW2 strategy game from Eugen Systems, released in 2019. Set on the Eastern Front in 1944, this sequel to the acclaimed real-time tactical game puts you in charge of an entire army during Operation Bagration, the Soviet offensive in Belorussia. You can play as a General in the strategic campaigns, as a Colonel in the tactical battles, or as a weapons expert in the deck building system.
The Dynamic Strategic Campaigns are a game within the game. In this turn-based, historically accurate mode you lead thousands of men on maps of up to 150 by 100 kilometres, plan battalion movements, manage supply and carry out your strategy in week-long campaigns. Every battalion matches its counterpart from Operation Bagration, and you decide which ones fight, either commanding each clash yourself or using autoresolve for a purely strategic experience.
In the real-time tactical battles you field over 600 extremely detailed units across 18 divisions, including the iconic T-34 tank, the Katyusha rocket launcher and the IL-2 ground-attack aircraft. Select your division, pick your units and build the perfect battlegroups with the reworked deck system, then read the terrain across 25 realistic battlefields and give the right order at the right time. The GOG version includes Reinforcement Packs #1 to #17.
Steel Division 2 runs on Windows 7 SP1 / 8.1 / 10 (64-bit) and is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Russian and Simplified Chinese, with achievements and cloud saves on GOG. It is an excellent choice for fans of serious WW2 strategy, players who enjoy both grand campaign planning and hands-on tactical command, and anyone fascinated by the history of the Eastern Front. Take command and shape the course of Operation Bagration.
